When it comes to sustainability, the primary objective of Maddalena S.p.A. is to measure and prevent wasting the most precious resource that our planet possesses: water.
Addressing sustainable development today requires a wide ranging approach, adopting behaviours that are responsible not just with regard to the environment alone, but broadening our reach towards social sustainability and corporate governance. It is only by acting this way that we can contribute to the creation of sustainable value and generate a positive advantage for our organization and our stakeholders.
Sustainability is embedded at the core of our corporate identity and informs our choices and our strategies.
SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
The Sustainability Report is a tool for monitoring, reporting and communicating the sustainable management process undertaken by Maddalena S.p.A. A strategic document for the management of relations with our stakeholders, it clearly sets out our commitment towards a sustainable economic development, balanced with the needs for environmental protection, social promotion, and corporate governance growth.
This is Maddalena’s first Sustainability Report, covering the 2020/21 two-year period.

Smart Tradition is the expression of our approach, and we want it to be so also when it comes to sustainability: Tradition and innovation for the future mean the centrality of people (S), the implementation of management systems (G), and the use of new technologies for water metering (E).
RESULTS
Important results have been achieved over time, confirming our company’s commitment to sustainability, while underlining our contribution towards achieving the objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
In 2021, Maddalena S.p.A. has been awarded the prestigious SA8000 certification, the first internationally recognised standard regarding the social responsibility of a company. At the same time, we published our first Sustainability Report.
