Workplaces that Tell Stories

July 11th, 2025

A few months ago, Maddalena’s production plant in Povoletto (Udine, Italy) experienced a truly unusual day: our spaces were transformed into a set for several scenes of the TV series I casi di Teresa Battaglia, produced by Publispei for RAI.

It was an unusual and fascinating experience that allowed us to look at our headquarters from a different perspective: not only as a place of work and industrial innovation, but also as a space capable of telling a cinematic story.

The new headquarters building, designed by architect Alessandro Zuccolo, was conceived with particular attention to architecture and interior design. Seeing it become part of a film set confirmed how corporate spaces can engage in a dialogue with culture, creativity, and the local territory.

This experience is part of a much broader context: the film industry in Friuli Venezia Giulia is today a genuine driver of development and international positioning.

According to data presented by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission together with PromoTurismoFVG, in 2025 the region hosted 75 productions, generating over €18 million in economic impact, 13,500 hotel overnight stays, and involving nearly 2,000 people as extras and background actors.

This ecosystem is growing not only in economic terms but also in reputation, bringing the region onto the international stage.

Companies can also contribute to this collective story. For Maddalena, offering our premises as a location for some scenes of the TV series was a small yet meaningful way to support the cultural and creative promotion of the territory. And we must admit: seeing the film crew at work among offices and meeting rooms was an experience we will not easily forget.
