WATER EFFICIENCY IN THE WORLD AND SUPPORT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Maddalena S.p.A<\/strong>. has chosen to start again from its basic essence: water, and take concrete action to help those who need it the most.\u00a0<\/strong>A high and noble goal that fully embraces the vision<\/a> of a company which, by its very nature, aims to\u00a0reduce water waste and foster water efficiency in the world<\/strong>,\u00a0making water efficiency the driver of growth for investment and support towards a sustainable development.<\/strong> So Maddalena selected WAMI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


<\/strong>For this reason, Maddalena selected\u00a0WAMI<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Water With A Mission \u2013 among its many partners, because both believe that\u00a0EVERYDAY ACTIONS CAN CONTRIBUTE TO MAKE EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS REAL. The ultimate goal is to make something so fundamental as water accessible to as many people as possible,<\/strong>\u00a0by building water supply systems and piping water into the homes of communities that need it.<\/p>\n\n\n

THE CHRISTMAS GIFT: CLIMA BOTTLES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For Christmas 2020, a number of stakeholders, including customers, partners, suppliers and all 150 employees at our Povoletto production facilities<\/strong>, will each receive Maddalena-branded Wami bottles<\/strong> as a gift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of these Clima Bottles<\/em> represents our commitment towards a solidarity cause, and corresponds to 1,000 litres of drinking water<\/strong> donated to one of the many needy populations in which the ACRA foundation operates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These water bottles have a threefold objective: raise awareness of the fundamental right of access to water, contribute to our chosen solidarity initiative with a donation of\u00a084,315,000 litres of water<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0as well as reduce the use of single-use plastic within businesses.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A more conscious management of plastic is an ambitious goal in which\u00a0Maddalena S.p.A,\u00a0ISO 14001-certified\u00a0since 2013<\/strong>, is engaging through awareness campaigns on several fronts. it is not only a matter of reducing the consumption of plastic, but also of sharing together a 3Rs culture of reduction, recycling and reuse<\/strong>\u00a0(as with the\u00a0Ri-Vending circular economy project)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the water bottles initiative, Maddalena has also chosen to include 0.5 l\u00a0bottles of Wami Water<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in its vending machines https:\/\/wa-mi.org\/lacqua\/. This is low-sodium mineralized water,\u00a0distributed in 100% recyclable bottles made of 50% recycled plastic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A free and conscious choice available to our employees to contribute with their own action to the development of water projects. Each single bottle corresponds to a donation of 100 litres of water.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE SOCIAL CAUSE: A WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR SENEGAL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The partnership developed between Maddalena S,p,A. and Wami\u00a0<\/strong>includes different and growing areas of action towards\u00a0a vision of\u00a0Corporate Social Responsibility.
Maddalena S.p.A. has chosen to actively support the\u00a0Tenghori project<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>with the construction of a water supply network piping fresh water to the taps of\u00a020 families in District 7, in Senegal<\/strong>. The families of the Tenghori village will finally have access to drinking water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


And it is in Dakar, in Senegal, that the next\u00a0World Water Forum<\/a>\u00a0will take place in 2021<\/strong>, a triennial event considered to be the main international conference dedicated to water issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By sharing these values,\u00a0Maddalena offers its concrete contribution to projects working towards the 17<\/strong>\u00a0Sustainable Development Goals<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0of the United Nations.<\/strong>
