At the end of a program started in September 2017, Maddalena has gained the ISO 27001 certification, another confirmation of Maddalena’s commitment in providing high standards of quality on every aspect, including data security.

The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 aims at preventing the risks for the company related to information security. This  is made possible thanks to the implementation of new specific control measures established by the guidelines included in the law. All these measures find their application in the information security management system.

This system allows the regular monitoring of IT data management, as well as the control of procedures and roles. The ISO 27001 certification attests the effort of the company in utilizing the right security measures that are necessary for the protection of data from cyber risks and threats, allowing at the same time third parties such as governments, authorities and suppliers to understand whether the data managed by the company are adequately protected.

The choice of Maddalena in pursuing this certification stems from the increasing higher levels of security requested at international level, apart from the awareness of the importance of the corporate information asset.

The commitment of the company does not end with this: in order to improve its standards of IT security, Maddalena is working to accompany the ISO certification with a set of management best practices recognized at international level, specifically those included in the ITIL v3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework. These guidelines aim at the improvement of the IT services quality related to the needs of company and clients, reducing at the same time the costs of services provision.
